Declan Farmer was born with a rare genetic condition called arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, which affects the development of the joints and muscles. As a result, Declan was born with limited mobility in his arms and legs. But Declan never let his disability define him. From a young age, he was determined to play hockey, and he worked hard to develop the skills he needed to succeed.

Declan started playing hockey when he was just four years old. At first, he used a sled to get around the ice, but he quickly learned to skate on his own. He was a natural athlete, and he quickly became one of the best players on his team. When Declan was 13 years old, he was invited to try out for the Canadian Paralympic hockey team. He made the team, and he went on to represent Canada at the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia, in 2014.

The Paralympic Games were an incredible experience for Declan. He helped Canada win the gold medal, and he was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Declan's success at the Paralympics inspired people all over the world. He showed that anything is possible if you set your mind to it.

Since the Paralympics, Declan has continued to play hockey at a high level. He is now a member of the University of Toronto Varsity Blues hockey team.
